Northern California native Scott Rau is the Director of Western Region Sales for Newpoint Technologies, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Integral Systems, which provides Satellite Command and Control, Network Management, and Carrier Management software solutions to the satellite communications and broadcast marketplaces. With a career spanning 17+ years in terrestrial and satellite communications, Scott provides a wealth of real world experience in operations, engineering and sales. With Newpoint, Scott is responsible for OEM relationships with some of the large satellite and broadcast equipment manufactures. He also has overall Account Management responsibilities for several major broadcasters in the Western US as well as many international broadcasters and communications service providers.
Previous to joining Newpoint Technologies, Scott’s sales career has included experience with OSS and Network Management systems for packet, optical, transport and telephony technologies. Customers included DoD’s DISA, Level3, Comcast Business and Microsoft.
Prior to transitioning into sales, Scott held network engineering and architecture positions at prestigious Silicon Valley tech firms, MCI and the University of California, San Francisco. Throughout his engineering career Scott has been instrumental in the design and roll-out of numerous large scale projects using leading edge technologies.
Happily married for the last ten years, Scott is also enjoying his role as father of three year old daughter, Jenna. Scott is an avid sailor and aspiring musician.
