Come and hear a distinguished panel of government, military and industry experts debate the Defense Department’s growing need for mobile connectivity, but with the added requirement that it be done at higher and higher speeds. Are those requirements truly compatible, or are they inherently at odds with each other? And with the power of global communications now demonstrably proven, can we reasonably expect them to remain off the adversaries target list? So, it’s about higher speed, greater mobility and mission assurance…in the presence of Cyber threats. Can it be done? Our panel of experts will share their valuable views with you.

Satellite-based communications have never been more critical to the mission-specific needs of the Pentagon worldwide. In addition to the planned TSAT and MUOS military satellite programs, commercial satellite communications continue to play a pivotal role in the overall communications architecture of the global network of defense commands for the U.S. military and the NATO allies. What are the continuing challenges and opportunities for the commercial satellite operator in working with the military and government agencies? What role will commercial SATCOM services play in the ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? This group of military communications commanders and senior executives from global satellite operators will discuss the issues impacting both communities during this must-attend session.

Will marketplace turbulence affect the government’s view of satellite companies and how contracts are competed for future services? This panel of Wall Street analysts and government officials will address this question and others affecting the financial health of companies that do business with the military and government.
