Dr. Nongluck Phinainitisart

Dr. Nongluck Phinainitisart is serving as the president of the Asia-Pacific Satellite Communications Council (APSCC), a non-profit international association representing all sectors of satellite/space related industries. At the 2006 APSCC Council and Plenary Meeting held on September 27, 2006, Dr. Nongluck Phinainitisart was elected as the new APSCC President effective January 2007 so will lead the association for the two-year term (2007-2008).
Dr. Phinainitisart will be responsible for implementing the directions and guidelines set by the Constitution and the Council, in consultation with the Board of Directors, Vice Presidents and Executive Director. Dr. Phinainitisart was also a member of the APSCC Board of Directors from 1999 to 2002. She is currently the President of Shin Satellite Public Co. Ltd., a satellite operator in Asia with five satellites, Thaicom 1A, Thaicom 2, Thaicom 3, Thaicom 4 (IPSTAR), and Thaicom 5, in operation.
Dr. Phinainitisart received her Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University and her Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri, USA. With more than more than 20 years of experience in Telecommunications, Satellite, and Mobile businesses, she is within Shin Satellite since 1991.
