Bill Harrington

Bill Harrington joined MTN, now part of SeaMobile Enterprises, in January 2005. He came to the company with over 16 years of satellite, communications and leadership experience, much of it spent in the U.S. military.
Harrington graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1985 and served as a Naval Flight Officer in aircraft carrier tactical aircraft. He has over 2000 flight hours and flew 56 combat missions over Iraq and Kuwait during the Gulf War in 1991. His following tour as the flag aide to the Commander, South Atlantic Force led him around South America in 1993. In 1995, Lieutenant Commander Harrington graduated with distinction from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA with three advanced degrees: Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineer Degree, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, and a Master of Science in Astronautical Engineering.
After graduate school, Mr. Harrington served as a Program Manager with the National Reconnaissance Office integrating state-of-the-art satellite technologies onto future satellite systems. In 1998, Mr. Harrington left the US Navy and joined Orbital Sciences Corporation as the Payload Systems Manager for Radarsat-2, a synthetic aperture radar satellite for the Canadian Space Agency. In 1999, he joined Global Broadband Solutions, a communications consulting firm, and served in various senior systems engineering roles for the British Ministry of Defense, the Missile Defense Agency and the Defense Information Systems Agency.
When Mr. Harrington joined MTN, he was Director of Special Programs and Operations. He was soon promoted to Vice President of Operations to take a more active role in the company’s technical operations area. In that role he helped develop and manage the government systems business, resulting in his recent promotion to Vice President of Advanced Programs. In this role, Mr. Harrington is responsible for development and management of all government business for the SeaMobile team.
